Governor Nyesom Wike holds Thanksgiving Service in Port Harcourt

Governor Nyesom Wike organized a special thanksgiving service in Port Harcourt to thank God over the victory at the Supreme Court yesterday. The church service took place at St. Peters Anglican Church,Rumueprikom, Ohio/Akpor local government area and was officiated by the Archbishop of the province of Niger Delta(Anglican Communion),Most Rev.Ignatius Kattey.


















In attendance was the former first lady, Patience Jonathan, Governor Seriake Dickson of BayelsaState, Governor Udom Emmanual of Akwa Ibom State and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce.

Speaking at the event, Governor Wike expressed gratitude to his legal team, which consist of 21 Senior Advocates of Nigeria. He recalled that he had told some of his supporters that he was not going to re-contest because of the expected bloodshed that would have followed the re-run election.

Other guests included Kelechi Igwe, the deputy governor of Ebonyi State,Peter Odili, the ex-governor of Rivers State, and Prince Uche Secondus, the acting national chairman of the People's Democratic Party(PDP).
